REPORT TO: Supply Chain Manager
KEY PURPOSE OF JOB
NewSpace Systems is a product development and manufacturing aerospace engineering company in Somerset West that has a permanent position for a Store Supervisor who will be responsible for managing all activities within the Store as well as interfacing with Production Planning and Engineering.
This person will oversee daily operations at our retail store, ensure smooth functioning of all stores activities and uphold to company standards.
KEY TASKS
Store:
• Supervise and coordinate daily store operations.
• Train, motivate, and supervise store employees.
• Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained.
• Manage inventory levels and order merchandise as necessary.
• Monitor and maintain store cleanliness and organization / housekeeping.
• Implement store policies and procedures.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
• Prepare and submit daily sales reports.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular store inspections to ensure high standards are met.
• Assist in the recruitment and hiring process as needed.
• Manage and prioritise Kitting of components for Production Jobs together with the Production Planning Department.
• Accountable for data capturing related to inventory items on the stores system through The ERP System and associated warehousing software;
• Accountable for the control and ensure the correct receiving, storing, and issuing of all stock items.
• Accountable for the monitoring stock levels and reorder timeously;
• Accountable for maintaining minimum stock holding and process the ordering of all consumables;
• Accountable for keeping the stores documentation processing, computer data and files up to date;
• Accountable for maintenance of stores with high standard of housekeeping and safety with regard to stacking and storage;
• Accountable for the physical stock, reconciles at all times and report on discrepancies immediately;
• Accountable for managing stock through regular stock counts and bin accuracy;
• Accountable for ensuring that materials are ready and available for production as and when required;
• Accountable for documentation and GRN all in-coming stock into the warehouse on a daily basis;
• Accountable for maintaining a sound communication processes to sales, finance, production, QA, and supply chain to facilitate optimal customer service and stock accuracy
• Provide routine management information on inventory performance;
• Accountable for implementing improvement processes and systems;
• Accountable for compliance with all processes and procedures of the Quality Management Systems (QMS);
• Accountable for all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) regulations daily as prescribed by legislation.

PREREQUISITES
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualification:
• Diploma in Logistics or similar
• Certificate in Stores Management (Preferable)
Experience:
• +/-10 years’ experience as a supervisor or similar managerial role
• +/- 15 years’ experience in stores and logistics
• Electronic hardware/component handling
• Syspro experience (preferable)
• Health & Safety qualification a must
Additional experiences:
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of inventory management and control practices.
• Familiarity with retail POS systems and software.
• High school diploma; additional education or certification in retail management is a plus.
• Qualification in stores and logistics
