Sales Manager

JOB TYPE: Full-Time

LOCATION: South Africa, Somerset West

REPORT TO: CEO

KEY PURPOSE OF JOB

A product development and manufacturing aerospace company in Somerset West has a permanent position for a Sales Manager whose responsibilities are:
• To increase profitable sales revenue and expand brand awareness.
• Generate sales by negotiating and concluding contracts with new and existing customers.
• Ensuring the company’s success in the international market.

KEY TASKS

Sales:
• Coordinate the efforts of the international sales team
• Grow year-on-year sales
• Sales presentations to customers
• Generating quotations
• Bid management of the whole sales cycle
• Direct and indirect sales to senior-level customers and partners
• Well-versed in methodologies for selling solutions and building long-term partner relationships
• Develop and close direct sales opportunities.
• Maintain sales forecasts on a weekly/monthly basis
• Introduce and ensure sales of any new NSS offerings/products
• Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure our clients are equipped with the necessary product knowledge
• Creativity / Innovation: Develop new and unique ways to improve the operations of the organization and to create new opportunities


Market Research:
• Reviewing space media for potential sales leads
• Reviewing conference papers for potential sales leads

PREREQUISITES

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:
• A university degree or similar tertiary qualifications in an applicable field

Experience (ideally within the aerospace or defense industry):
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, mostly in international markets with substantial (sales) management experience (B2B).
• Proficiency in relevant software applications and packages.
• Experience in negotiating and closing high-value contracts with senior-level management.
• Experience managing a team of senior members and cross-functional project teams.
• Experience in collaboration and reporting within the Company executive team
